'ello all; im a recent n97 user, as of 2010, i transferred all my previous contacts etc from my n95, and have had no problems whatsoever with the n97.

let me rephrase; no problems that i could not handle. the phone goes haywire at times, i hate the fact taht after its connected to USB mode the memory of msgs resets. software crashes occur on a daily basis. but, all in all, all is well. well, was well.

for some reason beyond my understanding, my mass memory messages have all disappeared. this is frustrating as im talking about 3000 msgs plus, memories from almost 4 years or so. i tried the switcharoonie thru other/options/memory in use, but to no avail. i tried restarting and still, no avail.

everything else is intact; notes, bookmarks, contacts, music, programs. just the messages up and vanished.

someone, please help. i will be forever grateful.

There does seem to be an issue that has not been solved by Nokia where: When messages are stored on the E: drive and the USB issue occurs on disconnect and the phone resets to having messages stored on C: the E: messages are lost. Sorry to say I have no seen a solution for this although I have not had the USB issue since updating to v21 firmware. Not sure if this is global or if I am just the lucky one.
