I wonder if anyone else with an N97 has experienced this problem?

I have had my N97 for about 5 months now and had upgraded to v20 firmware (Vodafone) and the BBC iplayer had been working perfectly thus far even through the upgrade etc ...

Just all of a sudden, (no app changes what so ever) on my phone for the last 3 months ...

what had been working stopped just last week. I can access the programmes in the Iplayer list right up to the point of clicking on the 'play' icon and when I do, it just sits there doing nothing!

Anyone have this problem?

I have had success thus far in listenijg to my fav BBC Radio 7 programmes as well as the odd TV catch up and somtimes live streaming as well. No problems over the last 4 months or so.

I have since tried, clearing the cache in the Web browser, removing the BBC iplayer app and reinstalling it from the BBC iplayer site etc .... still no joy.
Current version I have is 2.5.0 (141).
Yes, I had enabled Java script etc as required ...

I was able to use it withiout problems both using contract WAP connection as well as wiFi.

Alas now I have no joy with either, except that the application teasingly lets me choose whatever programme I want and goes as far as offering to play it with the click icon but try as I do, I get no joy.

Anyone able to shed some light on my plight?

Well I've just gone to try out the iPlayer app having updated from bbc.co.uk/iplayer and all I'm getting is a white screen, it would certainly suggest a problem has appeared. Last time I successfully used it was about 2-3 weeks ago if that ties in with your usage problems?

Actually I can get further than your white screen and it stopped working last week.

I would be happy if it's not just my handset and that its something wider afflicting the N97 and perhaps other handsets ... since it actually was working beautifully before
