i am using N97, version 12.0.026,type RM-505, can't seem to upgrade the firmware to v20. please help

its quite possible that you might need to uninstall ovi suite from your pc & reinstall the latest one from ovi.
as i have found this was my problem when i had to do it. also look around the forums about doing a hard install to your phone i:e uninstalling some of your applications & making a note of where you had them from also doing a backup when you have got the latest ove suite for your pics/vids & songs that you may have.

How have you tried OVI Suite (downloadabe from www.ovi.com) or Nokia Sofwtare Update (downloadable from www.nokia.co.uk/support/download-softwar...vice-software-update)?

Also have you tried checking if the latest firmware is available for you phone at www.nokia.co.uk/support/download-softwar...-update/can-i-update ?

Firmware updates availability is all based around your Product Code. Some get the updates straight away others have to wait.
