Friends,
I've been off the forum for a while, as, the N97 I swapped out (the 3rd one) seemed to be working with me. I did get the camera lens scratches, it didnt seem to effect IQ. Then yesterday. It happened. I've read about it happening but never thought it would happen to me. I have a case, take VERY good care of my phone as it cost so much. But still. I took it out of its case in my pocket and went to unlock the screen. The button came off! Yeah. The button that is the ONLY way to unlock the screen came the F off. I could no longer unlock the phone. I went to the nokia flagship store and the people could not have been bigger jerks. Acting like I was hasseling them, even though Im a loyal customer who dropped a lot of cash on their phone. Where is the respect? (It seems like a pompous, negative store anyways at least with regards to customer service). They gave me what I believe is a new phone. No box. To be honest, I dont know if Im gonna keep it. I went back to my iPhone 1.0 which, well, I hate. Its a bad "phone". I am enamored by the M9000, pissed that it came out even though I asked the guy about the N97 being "the guy" for a while. Im just letting everyone know. Obviously there are INCREDIBLE quality issued with these phone. At least the ones made in China. The only button to unlock it breaking off is unacceptable, NOKIA! We use that button so many times every day. R U KIDDING ME?!?! Make it durable. I take care of my devices. You should take care of us. Your no longer the good manufacter that I remember. Shame. For shame.

Sorry to hear that, it is especially bad that some service people act this way.

Good luck on whichever way you end up taking.

I too have been off the forum for a while, and disaster struck todAy when the button literally fell off.
I do agree that it needs to be more durable.
