Will the N97 replace my iPhone? 3 Years, 1 Month ago Karma: 0
Hi and thank you for bringing us this really good site. I read your article on the n97 vs iphone and it really got me thinking. I love my iphone and have gone through the 2G and now the 3G versions. Would this new n97 make me want to swap? I have to admit that I am a bit of a tech junkie and I always have to have the best possible of everything

I'm keeping an eye on apple rumors and there is a stir that there might be a new iphone in line with the new firmware that's being released. I just don't know what to do .

Is this N97 better than the current 3G version of the iPhone and if it is, will it still hold up if apple release a new iPhone later this year?

Any input from you guys would be much appreciated.

Thanks a lot for your time,

Keyne

Hi Keyne and Welcome to N97geeks.

You do raise a very good valid point about the rumors of the next gen iPhone. We know for sure that apple will be releasing the new 3.0 firmware for the iPhone sometime this summer which will be addressing a few issues such as picture messaging. As for the next gen iPhone, we have no infomation. Such a massive announcment will not be hard to miss unless u live under a very very big rock

Like you, I own an iphone and I will be following this thread closely. I love lots of thigns about my iphone. For one the capacitive touch screen makes the input easier than anything ive previously experienced. Going from that to the resistive input on the n97 seems to me like a backwards step. Although the thought of a full QWERTY attached to my phone is very attractive.

I will be getting my hands on an n97 when it is released and then I will decide on whether to stick with my iPhone or to swap over. If I have any new thoughs about the this thread. I will post them asap because as of now... I am exactly like you. "a confused and undecided iPhone user!"

Take Care
