I figure I'd let you know whats going on.

Okay, here in the states if you preordered the N97 on the phone, the customer service rep told me that once the order goes through, the amount of the phone will be charged to my account temporarily for 1-2 business days and then will come off my account. Then when the phone is ready to ship they would charge my account officially and the phone would be shipped out.

I pre-ordered my N97 on May 6th, 2009. The amount hit my account for like 2-3 days and then was taken off just like they said...

Then today, May 19th, 2009, the amount reappeared on my account! Does this mean the rumors of an early shipment to North America were true or just a glitch in their billing department? I have an inquiry filed with Nokia USA looking into this because the next Customer Service Representative I talked to had no idea what was going on.

So I guess stay tuned for any news...

At a guess I would say they are checking the guys that pre-order the N97 have got the funds to proceed once they are ready to start shipping.

Personally, I'd say they took the money at the start, to check funds. This is very interesting, I'm going to blog about it now!

Well I just checked my bank account and it still says pending...

The funny thing is, is why would Nokia check twice to see if the funds were available in my account? Unless this is like I said, a glitch with their billing department. I have no idea and I can only speculate for now...

I got in on the preorder usa deal as well, but haven't got hit with any fees on my cc yet.
