Sorry but new at this just got a N97
I have a iphone 3g sim and i put it in the N97
but when i use the internet it says edge is working but not showing 3G
how do i make the 3G working?

Your iPhone Sim Card will not work correctly in the N97 as it has parameters specifically for the iPhone set up for it, so you need to call AT&T and have them change the parameters or get a new SIM card from them, I think they can change it in the database but I can't remember positively, so you may have to go to the nearest store and get a new SIM card. Either way, yours will not work correctly, until one of these is done.

Actually the iPhone sim will work on the N97. You just need to contact AT&T, provide them with the N97's IMEI and they will change your service from EDGE to 3G.

What is IMEI? and if i do that will the 3G still work if i switch it to the iphone?

Actually wasn't that what I said, to call AT&T and have them change the parameters on their side, and this maybe all it takes.
To answer your question, No it will not work on the iPhone then, it has a special setting it requires. To get your IMEI # press *#06# and this will show the number.
